The sky, the earth, the roots, the soul by Adele Gibson and Ruthien

Adele image 3The Grange Gallery 7th November – 3rd December 2013
A joint exhibition by two Lewes based artists inspired by the landscape of the South Downs National Park. Adele Gibson works in oils, Ruthien with a camera. They travel the same paths daily, in all weathers and seasons, sometimes together but always accompanied by a Golden Retriever or two. The artwork in this exhibition is their response to the familiarity but enduring mystery of their home environment. From the expanse of wide, open skies down to the tangle of earthy burrowing roots.
